Stand with Net Neutrality · 2:51pm Nov 22nd, 2017
Hey guys, so I come to you with a request. The FCC is planning to get rid of Net Neutrality. The basic idea of it is a fair and free internet. It doesn't cost us money to access websites like Twitter, Amazon, Steam, ESPN, CNN, iTunes, etc. And the FCC's plan is to get rid of that free access to those websites. We can still go on them, but the speeds will be much slower. If we want to have the regular internet speed, we'll have to pay money. This diagram explains it better
And it goes WAY MORE beyond just speeds too. Here's a video that goes a little more in depth for it.
So yeah, it's bad! Just imagine trying to log onto Fimfiction and you can't access it until you pay five dollars for it.
So what can you do?
Call your congress person. These are people who can make a difference and all it takes is one call from a concerned citizen. I'll provide you guys a website where you enter your phone number, the people from the site call you, you enter a zip code and they will connect you to your representatives and senators. The site gives you a script to follow as well, so you know what to say to your congress person.
