why do some stories make ponies act like things that eat meat are unheard of and evil?!?

this is just a small thing thats been bugging me for awhile that I just wanted to rant about, why in some stories on here do ponies act like anything that eats meat is evil? seriously, I've seen this a couple of times, at it annoys me to no end, especially when most of the pets in the show are carnivores! also the bear, the bear is an omnivore. also griffons, and a bunch of other things in the show

thats it, a small, short rant about something thats been bothering me for awhile
