Status Update 11/7/17 · 5:01am Nov 8th, 2017
Hey all! Just thought I'd check in at the end of NaPoWriMo week 1. My grand total for the week is 9,669 words - nearly a third of my 30k goal, and putting me 919 words ahead of schedule!
Savvy math folks might notice that, for a 30k goal, I should only need 1k words a day instead of the 1,250 words I've been doing. This is because, from tomorrow until late next Monday, I won't be able to write due to being out of town and away from my computer (and, more importantly, my notes). So with effectively 6 less days to work, I had to compensate. Which is why I didn't set a higher goal for myself - 1,250 words is a comfortably challenging pace for me, whereas shooting for even 40k in 24 days would push me too close to the brink.
But anyway. So far I've completed one chapter each for Synchrony and Sunset in Ponyville, and got a good day's work in on another Synchrony chapter today. I'm gonna have a whole lot of content for you all come December! 
To all you other writers, I hope the next week is a fruitful one for you. I expect I'll have a lot to read when I get home.
