"It’s one of life’s great mysteries isn't it? Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a God watching everything? You know, with a plan for us and stuff. I don’t know, man, but it keeps me up at night."
Silence.
"...What?! I mean why are we out here, in this fandom?"1
So. Why am I in the MLP fandom?
I'm not exactly new to the fandom, but this is my first time actually trying to reach out to other people in the fandom. I started watching MLP while Season 4 was still coming out, and got into watching parodies, reading fanfiction, and listening to dramatic fanfic readings on youtube. I just never commented on content, made accounts on fan sites, or made any content myself before.
Until recently, that was all well and good. I enjoyed watching the show and I enjoyed the content people were creating. However, I started to feel more an more isolated in my real life, and wanted a chance to interact with some new people and even maybe make some friends. I wanted to make content that could make others happy the way the community's content made me happy. I just wanted to feel apart of something larger than myself.
So... that's my poorly described reasoning for why I'm on this site now.
