Well, I've seen it.
Animation: top notch
Princess nerf at the very sight of some villain: As to be expected, where would be the story if the bad guys are defeated in the first few minutes?
Mastermind: ....
Sigh... Of all the evil schemes and power hungry maniacs out there they take one with the mindset of a 12 year old?
This! What is this? This is a sad joke of a villain. "Meh, I want all this pony power to have power! To have more power!"
You know who wanted to achieve this as well? This guy!
But Tirek did it himself, he didn't need others to steal magic. Another Plus: Tirek and Twilight had a DBZ battle, making the series reach a whole new level of awesome. Both rely on betrayal in the end, but Tirek fooled a master manipulator, not a desperate unicorn mare blinded by her loss.
Which brings me to Tempest Shadow...
God damn those eyes...
The storm king may be an idiot, but Tempest truly makes up for it. However... I think at this point it's safe to say that there is some pattern happening here. What is it with Twilight and rogue unicorn mares causing major shit to happen even the other princesses can't handle? We'll see if this trend will continue in the series...
Now, as for Tempest in the Trail... Yes, she will be included after some other troublemakers had their chance of causing trouble.Of course, due to being halfway true to the movie's canon, there will be no Harmony Ranger to stop the invasion due to reasons I've already established for Book 4, but let's just say that one Reserve Ranger gets away and alarms the rest.
Tyler will not return pleased...
Well, that never stopped the girls from deciding anything. Without spoiling anything, Celestia can be highly persuasive. 
Not remotely in the way you think, creeps! After some initial rough greetings from Tyler, I plan to establish a nice and interesting chemistry between the two of them. The Prince of Willpower and the one mare who can be as determined, dark and sadistic as he is once she's right on target...
Jesus, she would have made such a great Descendant of Tacitus. She is the perfect role model I had in mind for that. 
But that ship will sail away with the end of Book 3
