My thoughts on Mlp: The Movie

Hi everyone! I watched Mlp: The Movie with my friend at the theater and I gotta tell you, it was AWESOME! The animation alone makes it worth seeing in the theater. Not only did the movie go beyond equestria, but it showed just how powerful friendship can be. It was a sad, funny, and just an amazing movie. I absolutely fangirled all over it. My friend thought that it was better than she expected. This movie was adventurous, light-hearted, and meant for an audience of any age.

Also SPOILERS (Obviously): It contains scenes from Mlp: The Movie, so don't read if you haven't watched it yet

Now, here are my thoughts on the characters:

Capper- Capper I instantly loved. He was slick, charming, and a very interesting character, and it's different since he's a cat that walks on 2 legs. What really made me love him instantly was his song. It was really something to see a cat singing about how the ponies need a friend like him to help them navigate through the scary town. The songs scenes were amazing and really adorable when he saved Fluttershy from the darkness using an umbrella to lighten her day. And the last thing that made me really love him was that when he tried to sell them he felt bad about it once he got to know them. And when Tempest Shadow caught him and asked him where they went, he looked at his outfit (which Rarity fixed) and he lied to her to protect them. He was truly an amazing character.

Princess Skystar- Princess Skystar was a lovable character. For, she was just as happy and joyful as Pinkie was. She also sang a song with Pinkie, and when the 2 hugged it was a memorable moment. I loved it when she told the ponies that they used to be hippogryphs but turned into seaponies to flee from the dreaded Storm King. And at the end of the movie, she turns back into an actual hippogryph, making her look more majestic then she did as a seapony. And her voice was cute!

Queen Novo- Not much to say about her. She was kind of stubborn at first, and she was going to order her guards to take them away or something, but after her daughter stopped her from doing so, she decided to use the pearl to transform them into seaponies, but that didn't last long when she saw Twilight trying to take her pearl. But at the end of the movie, she also transformed into a majestic hippogryph and it was funny when she told her daughter was grounded. She was lovable but not my favorite.

Tempest Shadow- Tempest Shadow wanted nothing more than for her horn to be restored. And since the Storm King promised to restore it if Tempest captured and delivered him the 4 princesses of equestria so that he could take away their magic to fuel his device that could make him control the sun, moon, and weather. But when the Storm King revealed that he lied to her and used her to get what he wanted, she turned on him and in the end, became Twilight's friend. Her story on how she got her horn broken was very sad. I loved her solo song, I can't even explain my thoughts and feelings of it. I also liked her real name reveal. My dad said it sounded like an alcoholic drink. I loved her.

Grubber- Grubber wasn't much of a character, he was just there. But, my favorite Grubber line was "I got two words for you. Sponge. Cake." And he was small and funny and pretty gullible. He was just a comic relief character for me.

Storm King- This character was definitely an amazing and funny villain. Not only did he steal magic from the princesses (reminds me of Lord Tirek), he turned his back on Tempest and betrayed her. He looked very vicious and evil, though he wasn't in the end. He was about to attack Twilight and her friends when Tempest saved them, making herself and Storm King transform into a statue like the princesses, but Tempest was saved by Twilight while Storm King fell to the ground and shattered into pieces, basically indicating that he was killed. It got really intense when his goons rounded up ponies and put them in shackles as slaves, so depressing. I thought he was a great, well-thought out villain.

Captain Celaeno- Captain Celaeno was pretty cool and even more cool when she revealed that she and her crew used to be pirates before Storm King came along. I also like the song 'It's Time To Be Awesome'. I liked her voice and how she helped the ponies defeat Storm King's goons. And she was also played by Zoe Saldana, who was Gamora in Guardians Of The Galaxy.

I also want to mention that I laughed when Party Favor said "RYAN, NOOO!"
