Saw the movie today. (Spoiler free, mostly) · 9:09pm Oct 6th, 2017
I liked it. I really did. It went in some directions I didn't expect. The outcome of some of the situations were a little predictable but some of the situation themselves weren't. Also the villain's backstory could have been more fleshed out.
Two questions went through my mind while watching it though (minor spoilers):
1. Where was Discord during all of this? I mean I understand why he wasn't included, as he could have put an end to it all at any point with a snap of his claws, but maybe they could have come up with something for him to do.
2. Why not ask the Dragons or the changelings for help? I guess they want to do more world building but at least they could have made an appearance during the final fight.
Overall: 7/10. Good but could have been better in some areas.
my question is where was the equestrian air force ? they let a massive enemy invasion hit there capitol city with NO Waring what so ever! Its one thing if they got over powered but not a single one could fly back and warn the princesses that like a dozen giant airships were heading there way? The wonder bolts cant be the entire air force there just the pony equivalent of the blue angels, but they were shown fighting, but one squadron is all that equestria has????
And does equestria have zero intelligence agency's? no pony CIA or NSA cause how do you NOT here about some one like the storm king take over a bunch of other territory's?
And the royal guard well... we all understand at this point that they have orders to give up right away if something happens and just wait till twilight and friends save the day, so they were the only ones too do there jobs it seems cause I didn't even see them once so good job royal guard ,thou I do hope that some of the night guard were secretly planning a resistance movement or something lol
