Hey guys, Requiem here. I know -- been a while.
Those first few months of hype came and went, and as you've all seen: my consistency and... well, presence here in general has all but completely evaporated just as quickly as it came. That wasn't my intention when I set out to make this account and write What Lies Within -- which now sits in suspended animation, the next chapter barely even considered for all intents and purposes. I have marked the story in question as "On Hiatus," but if you're holding your breath in anticipation or something you might wanna just go ahead and take a second to soak in all that sweet, sweet oxygen.
It's been a veritable hurricane of things in regards to my personal life as well as my schooling that have kept me from actually sitting down and writing anything. Not even just for this site -- basically anywhere! I keep having ideas but they never make it to a page before I get sidetracked and end up losing the plot somewhere along the line. It's... annoying, to say the least.
Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS isn't really helping, either. Perhaps it's the bitter taste the final part of ARC-V left in my mouth talking, but I haven't really gotten anything out of the ~20 episodes of the new series that are currently available to watch. Not to mention my lack of ability to even toy with the new mechanic even though some really cool Link Decks have been getting leaked (looking at you, Jack Knights!) which is kind of decreasing the amount of time I spend actually playing the game and being inspired to write my own Duels.
All in all; it's a bit of a situation I find myself in. I probably won't be actually writing much in the near future, but I'll still be around -- checking out stories and whatnot. After all, I am the editor/revisor for a certain YGO story on the site. I take the reins in proofreading as well, so it tends to read like one of my own works for the most part -- but the actual content isn't mine. (It's another taxing endeavor I've gotten myself into. If I ever end up putting this much work into something I'm gonna charge a commission fee or something.)
Anyway; this kind of got out of hand. Sort of a... wall of text, if you will. Guess that's my cue to sign off.
