Hm...contributing to a story is easy for me, but creating one from scratch... Perhaps if you just start a story I can give you some ideas and tips of how to keep it going and interesting. You could also try to scavenge around some episodes of MLP and see if there are any unexplained loose ends to tie up (Like Dr.Hooves for example)
