Most detective and mystery fiction writers started in their 40's... Some see it as more of a vocation. Not to mention I didn't learn how to make a hard copy Journalism portfolio until earlier this month and that's with having taken journalism and communication classes and looking for the last few years. If you keep pushing you'll find something eventually. I also recently started attempts at drawing celebrities. My Alfred Hitchcock looks more like Jason Stathem or Vin Diesel and my Clint Eastwood looks like Benicio Del Toro or Don Cheadle, I'm using thick lines and a white board instead of fine lines and pencil but I can safely assume I will eventually get it right.
I can edit basically 24/7.
