Once again fimfiction.net has undergone an overhaul and come back looking completely different.
The blue’s distracting, my groups tab doesn’t show the groups I’ve joined, to go between folders in a group I have to go into a master menu page, the sort-by system in the groups requires twice as much clicking as before, the category tabs for stories are no longer colour coordinated and so make the title pages look too busy and there’s no option in the user settings to restore the old look.
On a more positive note, the colouring in one’s library master page works.
I’m sure we’ll get used to it over time. At least the feed icon now registers when new things pop up. We just have to rewire our muscle memory. I guarantee in a few months, if we went back to the old version of FiMfic, we’d find it just as unwieldy as we find this new version now.
The only things so far that peeve me so far are the way you now have to click YouTube vids twice to start them, and they’re shrunken in the story text, and the way the text of a story seems to be letterboxed. And of course, everything’s blue. And still no Luna emoticon.
