My Little Pony Equestria Girls review

My Little Pony Equestria Girls is a 2013 animated film.

The first Equestria Girls film is about Twilight Sparkle going to the human world for the first time to save her princess crown from Sunset Shimmer. While there Twilight looks like a human and Spike looks like a dog. The human versions of her buddies become allies on her mission. It's up to Twilight and her friends to stop Sunset Shimmer, Snips, and Snails.

This film is around 70 minutes which is a short length, but the short length is really good for this film. It moves at a fast pace, but not too fast. It fits plenty of cuteness, humor, and catchy songs. The film is focused on Twilight who is a good protagonist and is very funny as a human. Spike gets more of a important role than usual which is cool for him. Twilight's friends work good as supporting characters. Sunset Shimmer is a cool villain and Snips and Snails are entertaining. Despite the hate that Flash gets he's not a terrible character. The human version of Celestia is less boring than the plot exposition Princess Celestia.

This is a My Little Pony film so there's plenty of cuteness and charming optimism. The film is really funny thanks to the jokes about Twilight being eccentric as a human. As usual Snips and Snails are fun. The animation is great. The characters look pretty awesome as humans. The songs are memorable and really catchy.
