Turning things around · 11:33am Oct 4th, 2012
So, as most of you who read these know, it's been a very, shamefully long time since I've updated Rude Awakening. And that's largely because, given who I am, I tend not to finish things when they get difficult. One of my biggest crutches in my life has been my video game habit (though some call it an addiction).
This all came back to my attention tonight when I was talking with a friend of mine. She mentioned that all things take are time... time that I didn't dedicate to nearly anything other than computer games. Though enjoyable, I reached the conclusion that they were doing me more harm than good.
I uninstalled and deleted all the games off my gaming computer. A video of the final Recycle Bin clearing:
While lying in bed here, trying to get some sleep before my new part time job that starts in, now, three and a half hours, I could see the games I was missing. Minecraft, Starcraft II, World of Tanks... all calling me back, begging to be reinstalled.
If all goes well, I should be doing a lot more of everything that's not pointless-ass video games. Among those things, pony writing is included.
I'm trying to stay strong.
Wish me luck.
YOu know, I would have liked to have been informed a tad.
Also, if you have gotten rid of mumble too I will hunt you down to give you my congratz

Hopefully you don't take the same convincing I did. I pretty much wasted the last four years flunking out of school (multiple times) and working minimum wage jobs before I finally convinced myself this was a problem.
The first step is admitting you have a problem.
Good on ya mate
May god have mercy on your soul.
