So, I realized that I'm behind on the new MLP episodes but (due to love migraine fun time) didn't feel like doing anything more than look at the list and find the one that people seem to like the best so far and skim it (because, you know, migraine), which seems to be "Flurry of Emotions". For the record, I fully approve of the pun in the title. And, as an aunt, I can appreciate Twilight trying to spend time with Flurry and still fulfill her list.
But as I started to watch the episode, a thought hit that made it hard to focus on it. A possible explanation for something that has been bugging me. As character designs go, Flurry is older looking than the other foals we have seen (Pound and Pumpkin).
So, what if she was born before the wedding? It would cover why Flurry is more developed than the other foals we've seen, magically and physically. It could be that she was being raised somewhere else until enough time passed for her to be safely "born." It wouldn't be the first time Shining hasn't told something important to his sister.
I sense some serious fanfic potential. Which, shamefully, I don't have any desire to write. *shrug* Thought I'd throw the idea out there if anyone wants to run with it.
I have had similar thoughts, I confess.

Oh, good, I'm not the only one. Kind of surprised I haven't seen a story relating to it. Though, I have to admit I haven't actively looked.
