So, just a little update about things.
I got a job! I'm now a Ramp Agent at the airport, which is mainly baggage loader to begin with but after the probation period I can be trained to drive all the little cars around, even push the planes! Also, THERE IS NO CUSTOMER INTERACTION! I can't tell you how happy I am about that. I really hate customers now. Just sick of them.
I got a car! A cheap little Ford KA that is good on insurance, which is the big problem here. It's nice having that little bit of freedom that comes with not having to rely on public transport.
I had my car written off! Yes, after only having it for two weeks, it is not safe to drive. Not because of anything I did, mind you. Let me explain.
I got my car two weeks ago and had been driving it around, growing more confident, when I decided to drive to see my family over Easter. It was good motorway practice as well since it was over three hours of motorway driving. On the way I stalled it and that broke the exhaust, which shouldn't happen, but I'll get to that. So I got back safely despite having a broken exhaust for the latter half of the journey and took it to the garage the next day.
They told me they would get the part on Tuesday and fix it then, so I went back on Tuesday and left it with them. When they got round to looking at it they didn't even bother to repair it as there was that much wrong with it they could have written it off three times! Leaking suspension and excessive corrosion all over the underside as well as many a bodged welding job. There was no way any of that happened since it got MOT'd this January let alone sine I bought it.
So yeah. Now my car is stranded back at my mum's house while I organise getting a refund from the dealer. Also getting my money back from the insurer.
At least it means I won't be in money trouble anymore. Although I do need a car for my job... Oh well. I'm sure they will understand.
As for WRITING, I must say I have not done much this past month. I have been having money worries because I needed to get a car and the fact my job doesn't start until tomorrow, so I won't be paid until the end of next month. As a result I have been trying to get that organised, which I have done so it's all okay.
Also I was stuck with my family for twice as long as I wanted, and I didn't bring my laptop or anything like that with me, so I could do nothing for a whole week. At least they have Sky and I bought a book.
Anyway. That's me. Gonna get to writing after I've had a wee.
I hope you're all doing well.
