Considering my take on the Pacific War, with its gritty plot and realistic settings.........it's one of my most popular fics, so I will do my best to crank out the next chapter "Siege of Shanghai" why is this gritty fic so popular you ask? Well there are no heroes in this story, Sapphire's reaction after the beach landing is understandable, she has never been in a conventional war......she fought against insurgents in Saddle Arabia then became Commander of the 557th Ranger Airborne, Equestria is fighting an uphill battle against the Eastern Kingdom. Queen Yuma has a much larger army at her disposal and the Princesses know it, Sapphire and her fellow soldiers are fighting a war that they may not win, but there's only so much land Queen Yuma can lose before she decides to negotiate. The reason you never really get an answer as to why the Eastern Kingdom bombed Pearl Harbor.......is simply because this isn't about politics.....this is story is about the brave Equestrian soldiers who stood up to the Dragon of the East, Sapphire likely already exhibits slight symptoms of depression now once this ordeal is over she might have full on PTSD.......the thing is Sapphire earned the Equestrian Medal Of Honor.......but was put in as a Field Commander when tensions between Equestria and the Eastern Kingdom rose........ "Blood On The Beach" is my version of D-Day it's not pleasant just like the real D-Day.......all that blood spilled to take the island resort of Hainan. Equestria is alone with no allies to come to their aid; like I stated before there are no heroes in this story.......there are only soldiers, modern war isn't pretty and I aim for this story to show that......I'm very proud of this fic and I'm happy people like it, that's all for this blog post sorry it was so long just thought I explain some things.
