In canon, Nichol is one of my favorite fan-made protagonists and Sterling is one of my favorite fan-made antagonists. There is no way they could ever have this conversation before they tried clawing each other's eyes out. They REALLY hate each other, and Sterling kinda... killed Nichol's mom (his step-mom) to raise Nichol into a bloodthirsty and heartless killer, hence why Nichol is so grumpy all the time.
I wrote this last night, by the by. I think for just under an hour of typing this came out pretty good.
