Yup. I'm making a laptop in Minecraft.
Just began today, and I have the whole body of the laptop done, the keyboard and screen. They're 79x49, the screen is 40x75. Also, I play on PS3. No MC edit = had to place each block ONE. BY. ONE. Not fun. I've got a working system for the touch pad which will control the cursor but I haven't connected the lines to anything yet. I also began making the redstone behind the screen with a button to turn it on and off. I'm thinking of even making a battery for it! No, not one looooooong line of redstone repeaters on full delay, but instead, furnaces cooking items and a lot of them until it runs out, with a comparator system to detect items in the furnace to provide power and when the smelting is done, the power will, of course, be cut off and the laptop will turn off.
The screen is made of 2x2 segments of redstone lamps that will be used to make letters and such. My computer wont be able to type much, only getting four lines that can fit up to 8 letter words. I' also going to try and implement a calculator, possibly a system for a game - Space Invaders seems fun.
Although I don't think I'm good enough with redstone to do that. So wish me luck that my hours of work won't be for nothing! I have a long way to go to finish it .-.
