Goodbye, Fimfiction! · 10:02am Jan 9th, 2017
Well, anyone who read my previous blogs could probably see this coming, but... I have now drifted sufficiently far from the fandom that I no longer feel motivated to actually read new fics, and the old fics I stopped reading a while ago.
Literally the only thing keeping me coming back here are the blogs of smart people, and people who lead interesting lives.
Great, I'm reading TMZ. A TMZ with higher standards, written by the people it's talking about, and the occasional piece of literary analysis or socio-political commentary, but still functionally a similar endeavour.
This is not something I am happy to spend my time on.
So thanks, Fimfiction, for all the good times. I'll drop in now and then when I need the gossip, but until you manage to replace fanfiction.net like you mentioned you wanted to once, I'mma be heading off now.
Oh, thank God.
