So, those of you who have somehow managed to stumble upon my page my have noticed that the number of bookshelves I have is slowly multiplying.
So, in my eternal quest to procrastinate, I have come to the decision that I may as well explain my shelving system.
To start - favourites. Ideally, this would be a short list of those fics I have discovered on the site that are of such stellar quality, I would be happy to pay a not insignificant amount of money for a dead-tree format copy. Unfortunately, because of the mods decision to combine 'tracking' with 'favourites', before eventually granting us this new system, a number of lesser tales may have made it there. That isn't to say it's bad - I followed it for a reason, after all - but instead of a ruby, one is just as likely to find a mere garnet.
Then, my 'Good Reads'. It is as the title says - they are good reads. However, this isn't a judgement on the other lists. If I list a story at all, it is because it is a good read. More, this is a list for those stories that don't have a generic tag such as 'Horror' or 'Comedy'.
Next, the thematic shelves. At the moment, these are the 'Horror' and 'Comedy Box' shelves, but I do not doubt I shall acquire more, as I discover fics that fit under another tag. These are not merely 'good stories', but more specifically, a good _example_ of their specific genre.
Finally, 'Food for Thought'. On this shelf I place those titles that pose a question for the reader, or force you to consider things you normally wouldn't.
