    Her Sentence as a Pony

I went with the executive decision to just finish Book One of Her Sentence as a Pony and start on Book Two. Book Two will be my main focus going forward. Book Two will have some chapters that flashback to a time where Shade, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna fought side by side during key times, e.g. Discord's first defeat and Sombra's first defeat.

Her Sentence as a Pony rewrite

I’m planning to rewrite Her Sentence as a Pony because it has gone completely off what I planned.

    Or

Should I just finish what I have thought of for it and write an new story as an alternate to HSaaP?

    Not a Junkyard (Story Idea)

Another day, another bit—hopefully more than a bit’s wage. If your boss had their way they would pay you a bit a day. Lousy cheapskate. You work on your hooves all day, smile at all the rude ponies, and manage to keep your growing anger in check. The same thing keeps popping into your mind everyday at work: “Is it worth it?” Unfortunately, how today’s society revolves around capitalism, one must

    Hello...

Sorry for the unannounced hiatus. I have just been swamped with work and life. I plan on writing and updating at irregular intervals as work and life are a priority.

I haven’t even had time to game much! I am slowly becoming a normie!

    Halp!

Gary Stu/Anthro fic for my comrade ynfiltra

If the story gets enough likes or positive feedback, I might consider to continue it.

You know you will do it anyways. Even though you have enough on your plate.

The Reign of Midnight Solace

Steel clashed against steel, the sharp sound echoed in the courtyard. Hot breath escaped from wide nostrils and open mouths. Teal eyes locked with determined ruby irises. The teal eyes flash with zeal and before the ruby eyes could see, they found themselves suddenly staring at the sky.

Midnight Solace laughed. With an outstretched hand he spoke, "You thought you knew all my moves, eh, Lieutenant?"

Lieutenant Fire Kicker panted on the ground and frowned at her prince's smug expression. She took the hand and sheathed her sword. "How did Captain Steelhoof and Commander Stonebreaker best you?"

Midnight Solace smirked. "Since you show much promise, Lieutenant, I will give you a hint." The prince leans close to the deep apricot pegasus and whispered in her ear, "By not playing by my rules."

Fire Kicker knitted her brows together. "What do you mean?"

The Prince of the Moon sheathed his sword and swished his cape as he spun around on his heels. "Exactly as I said."

Fire Kicker watched as her prince walked away, confusion written on her face. A cool breeze sweeps into the training yard and blew her feathers and mane.

Prince Midnight Solace of Everfree loved to spar with his soldiers. He spent as much time as he could with them, they treated him with respect and also as one of their own. He served along side many of them on the battlefield against the Griffons which garnered their admiration and respect.

Princess Celestia, his older sister, handled the more political and formal affairs. She was powerful and formidable in her own right, but her prowess in combat could not stand up to Midnight Solace.

He had great respect for his sister. She for the most part, ran the kingdom by herself and the fact that she did not lash out at the nobles during court and outright kill them meant she had greater patience than he ever would.

Did it bother him that she did not always listen nor read his propositions? Yes. Did it bother him that most ponies loved her day and were afraid of his night? Definitely. Did he ever think to kill her and take power for himself? No.

Firstly, his parents would no doubt hate him for it; secondly, he could not control the sun like she could; thirdly, he loved his sister and never dreamt of harming her. He only wished she would listen to his council more than the council of selfish nobles.

His thoughts kept him occupied as he showered in the barracks washroom. He thought back to the whole night business; plenty of ponies loved his night: vampires, wereponies, succubi, demons. . . now that he thought of it, those ponies also contributed to others being afraid of the night.

He sighed as he dried of his dark blue coat. How could he get the public to like them? They are nice people and have taken great leaps in alchemy and magic for them to change their diets.

These things take time, he reassured himself.

"Why so glum, sir?" A gruff voice broke his thoughts.

He looked up and saw Commander Stonebreaker who sat across from him on a separate bench. "Just trying to come up with ways for ponies to accept the nocturnal ponies."

The demon smiled, "You have done a lot to help us, sir. We are more tolerated today than ten years ago. Heck, the nobles wanted to put me on a stake when you made me 'Commander of the Royal Guard'. But then you gave them that speech and things have gotten better since."

"The more they learn about you all, the more they learn how you are and can be more prepared to interact with you. Ignorance is the root of most fear."

"Absolutely, sir. Thanks to you enlightening us about the sorry state of the Griffons, the war turned around and we have peace."

Midnight Solace laughed. "That was hardly my doing. My sister arranged everything."

"Your sister also wanted to kill them all," the black demon input.

Midnight Solace ran his hand through his short mane and sighed, "She was just stricken with grief. Bright Light was her special somepony. My sister took her death hard."

"Speaking of special someponies," Commander Stonebreaker began with a smile to change the mood, "who are you taking to the Gala?"

"You mean you didn't get my invitation?"

Stonebreaker stared at his prince. A moment later, they both laughed. "Sorry, your majesty, you aren't my type."

"Yeah," Midnight Solace got up to get dressed and cracked, "your breast are too big for my taste anyways."

The large, muscular demon shook the locker room with his riotous laughter.

Princess Celestia pinched her brows together and released a strained sigh. She could hardly believe the news. She sadly opened her eyes to stare at the coded letters and notes that plotted a coup all written by her brother.

Councilor Haughty Hoof and Councilor Gilded Purse share a satisfied glance with each other.

"I do not want to believe this. We may have our differences but he would never "

"The evidence is there, your highness," Haughty Hoof proclaimed.

"In his own hand writing, which you yourself confirmed," Gilded Purse added.

Princess Celestia heaved a heavy sigh. "I know. Please, leave me."

"Yes, your highness," the mares bowed in unison and left the distraught princess alone.

She gets up from her plush, red chair and strode over to the window which overlooked the main gardens. She cocked an eyebrow when she saw her brother playing football with a group of children.

He easily dodged and ran circles around them. When he was in front of the goal, she knew he intentionally took long to shoot, which gave one blue haired filly the opportunity to steal the ball. Midnight Solace feigned shock and ran after her. The filly scores and the game comes to an end. The team that won group hugged the blue haired unicorn and her brother's team dog piled on him. She could hear his and their laughter which brought a small smile to her lips.

Her heart twisted in her chest. How could her brother plot to kill her? She had done nothing to him and he acted like everything was normal. Too many times in the papers he wrote that he was envious of her and how all the ponies love her, which boggled her mind.

Why would he be envious? Ponies loved him more, respected him more, felt more comfortable around him, and he's had more marriage proposals than her.

If anything, Celestia envied him. He was easygoing, courageous, stronger than her, more powerful than her. . . even their parents loved him more.

She slumps into her chair and drops her head onto her arms. Everything came naturally to him. Why would he want to kill her? She should kill him!

Celestia sat up with her eyes wide and breath caught in her throat. What was she thinking? But. . . what did he always say? "Prevent the problem before it happens." Her eyes fell onto the papers that covered her desk. Gears ground around in her head as she plotted. The Gala. Then everyone would see his true colors.

Midnight Solace stood on the eastern ramparts and gazed at the wonderful moon that shone brightly for him. He held out his hand towards the stars and smiled as the twinkled. Footsteps behind him did not go unnoticed.

"Hello, your majesty."

"Hello, Lieutenant Fire Kicker," he greeted as he watched the stars.

He heard her walk to the parapet and saw her rest her elbows against the stone. Her fiery mane sailed in the wind that blew it behind her. She wore casual clothes and did not have her sword.

"Your nights are always beautiful, your majesty," she compliments.

"Night belongs to everyone and I draw inspiration from the beauty around me," he replied honestly.

Fire Kicker runs her hand through her hair and gazed up at her prince. Midnight Solace smiled. She averted her gaze, lest she gets lost in his sparkling, teal gems.

She played with the ends of her hair absently and focused on the stone wall. "You are attending the Gala, right, your highness?"

"I usually try to avoid such. . . stuck up parties and self righteous people." Midnight Solace leaned his back against the wall near Fire Kicker and continued, "But my sister insisted that I go this year so I will go, for her."

"Do you have a date?" Fire Kicker asked.

"No. Too many women just want me for my position which is why I usually decline invitations and offers."

"O-oh. Y-yeah. I could see how being a prince would make you choose your dates wisely."

A long silence passed between them which was broken when Fire Kicker cleared her throat, "W-well, I was just out for a little stroll. Should head back and get some shut eye."

"Fire Kicker."

She froze when she heard him call her by her name. She turned around stiffly. "Yes. . . sir?"

Midnight Solace smiled and took Fire Kicker's right hand into his. He peered deep into her eyes and said, "Would you do me the honor of being my date for the Gala?"

Buck yeah! she wanted to scream but she composed her self and smiled coolly at the prince. "The Commander and a couple Majors already asked me but since you're the prince I guess I could do worse. I accept."

A chuckle escaped the prince and his eyes glimmered humorously. "Thank you, Fire Kicker. I will do my best to make it a night to remember."

Fire Kicker smirked salaciously. "Oh? Now my expectations are even higher."

The prince knelt and kissed the back of her hand still in his, "I will try not to disappoint."

Fire Kicker's heart melted into his teal gaze. She snapped out of her fantasies and asked, "What time should I expect my carriage?"

The three days until the Gala could not come any sooner for Prince Midnight Solace. Luckily for him, today was the Gala. He had thought of Fire Kicker a few times before that night, but ever since she had been constantly on his mind.

He knew her strengths, weaknesses, loyalty, valor, her humor, and her strong beauty. He wanted to know more about her everything about her. Was this love? In all his two thousand year life he had not experienced the feelings he was going through.

The carriage came to view and the world around him slowed. He watched the ivory carriage stop in front of him. Slowly, the driver opened the door and out stepped his date.

First, her foot strapped with a cherry red heel; then, her long, lean, apricot leg, followed by her other leg; next, a shimmering red dress that hugged her hips and every curve of her body; lastly, he saw her flowing, curly mane of fire that hugged her blushing, smiling face. And his heart stopped.

"Hello, my prince," she greeted him with a curtesy, her voice sounded like a choir of angels.

He snapped himself out of his stupor and smiled broadly at his date. He held out his arm and said, "No need to be so formal, Fire Kicker."

Fire Kicker hooked her right arm under his arm. Her ruby gems dazzled and entranced him. "Okay, Midnight Solace."

Could the night get any better? Midnight Solace could care less about the nobles, the food, the drinks, or the music. All he cared about was holding onto the woman in his arms and never letting go. They stared into each other's eyes deeply, both harboring similar feelings.

A tap on his shoulder brought the world back to him. He glared daggers at the waiter who rudely interrupted him.

"P-Princ-cess C-C-Celestia wishes to s-speak with y-you, your h-highness!" the colt stammered.

Midnight Solace took a deep, calming breath. "Very well. Fire Kicker, if you would excuse me."

"I'll get something to snack on," Fire Kicker replies, hiding her irritation; she stared icily at the princess.

Midnight Solace crossed the dance floor to the dais where he and his sister's throne was. "Yes, dear sister?"

Princess Celestia beckoned him closer. When he leaned in, she whispered in his ear, "I know what you are plotting."

Midnight Solace reeled back on his heels and looked at his sister quizzically. "And what, pray tell, am I 'plotting'?"

"A coup."

The prince cocked a brow at her statement then snickered. "What are you going on about, Tia?"

Celestia shot up from her seat, pushed her brother away, and blasted him with a white energy blast. A collective gasp erupts from the attendees. Guards rush over with their hands on their swords.

A smoking hand shoots up from the smoldering, crouching mass that is Midnight Solace. He coughed, "Stop!" With labored breaths. He stood to his feet with the top part of his suit crumbling into ash. "Why, sister?"

"Guards! Arrest this man for treason and conspiracy to overthrow the princess!" Princess Celestia orders. Her eyebrow twitches with annoyance when none of the guards move.

Commander Stonebreaker steps forward. "Where is your evidence, Princess?"

Princess Celestria gnashed her teeth at the demon. She pulls out papers from under the cushion of her throne and throws them at the Commander. "There is the 'evidence'! Now, seize him!"

Captain Steelhoof stepped in front of Prince Midnight Solace with his sword drawn, "The Prince would never do such a thing!"

"Stand down, Captain," Midnight croaks. "Your and everyone's intervention will only make things worse and prove my sister right."

With the aide of the Captain, the Prince stands to his feet, and shambles over to the dais. He falls to his knees and holds up his hands. "Arrest me then."

"No," Princess Celestia said. "No jail could hold nor do I trust your guards." She pulls out a box from under her throne and removes the Elements of Harmony. Midnight Solace's eyes grow wide. "For your crimes against the crown, I hereby banish you to the moon."

The crowd gasps again.

"You can't! I won't !" Fire Kicker was cut off by Captain Steelhoof holding her back and clamping a hand over her mouth.

"Any final words?" Princess Celestia inquired with a smug grin.

Midnight Solace looked up at his sister with tears in his eyes, "I forgive you, sister."

Princess Celestia was taken aback momentarily. She activated the Elements of Harmony and blasted Midnight Solace to the moon.
