#11. The Family of the Season by CartoonNerd12

(This is a longer story, so I'm not going to do a whole recap below, so no real spoilers)

One of the longer stories on the list, The Family of the Season is a story in the Royal Canterlot Family series (by CartoonNerd12). Having read those will help you better understand things going on here (and I highly recommend you do, if you're a fan of mlp-styled fairytales-even if you're not, you may still enjoy them!).

In this story's 'world', the mane 6 are sisters, and their mother is Princess Celestia. By this time, the girls have all been married and have kids (the couples here are FlashLight, AppleSpike, CheesePie, Raripants, SoarinDash, and Fluttercord). All the families are getting together for Hearth's Warming. The parents' are having trouble keeping their kids from finding their presents, especially with Fluttershy and Discord's daughter Screwball having chaotic powers. To distract them, the girls decide to let them take their places in the Hearth's Warming play, a part of a traditional holiday showcase the girls always put on together. But there's a bit of competition over some of the roles, and some feelings may get hurt....

The rest of the story follows with reunions of other characters in the series' coming along to join them, including Cadance and Shining Armor, in between preparations for the showcase, and of course, the showcase itself as a grand finale.

Over all, it's a simple but touching slice of life story with a touch of comedy, all the characters are well written, and though there are some grammatical errors here and there, it doesn't take anything away from the story. It's a wonderful, heartwarming addition to the series and is sure to leave you smiling by the end.

(here's a song for you :raritywink:
