Taking spot number twelve is a nice slice of life story. Taking place in the Equestria Girls universe, it features the Dazzlings struggling to adjust after their defeat.
Naturally, Christmas-time is coming around. The story follows Adagio, who goes for a stroll to take a break from her bickering sisters*.
(*are the Dazzlings siblings? I don't remember it being said)
Adagio enters a crowded Sugarcube Corner and is forced to share a table with a strange old man. To her annoyance, he asks her a question: why does she keep her fellow sirens around if they constantly get on eachother's nerves?
After a short rant, Adagio admits: because they're like family; she knows they'll always have her back.
When she returns home, she discovers her, Sonata and Aria have received a special gift: they can sing again. Adagio then finds a note from Santa Clause, asking to keep it their little secret.
This story was very touching, with a nice little message: no matter how much they get on your nerves, despite everything, family is family; you can count on them to have your back no matter how tough things get.
I also like it because even though they were the villains, i kind of like the Dazzlings, and felt a little bad for them at the end of the movie. It was nice to see them receive something so meaningful to them, not just as a gift, but a small sign of forgiveness.
Thanks to Rainedash for such a nice little story. (i couldn't think of a song for this one. feel free to make suggestions)
I'd love to know what you guys thought of it, and hope you'll stay tuned for part 2, coming Dec. 4!
