Does anyone respond to blogs? · 9:21pm Nov 13th, 2016
Just a question out of curiosity. I guess I hardly ever have anything interesting to blog about that's worth commenting, so I will leave you with a question I think is interesting:
If any human character, be it TD from TDverse, Konrad from Battle of the Blanks, Or Alex from Friendship is Life were to be thrown in the 7HiPverse, how would you think it'd play out? With hilarity? Conflict? Or will everyone get along?
I wanna hear your thoughts. Just random questions. And if you have another character in mind on how the characters of 7HiP will react to, post and I'll reply.
You would get the TD that punches everything... He would punch everything
4301052 I meant the average TD.
I don't know much about these characters sorry. I think I'd want everyone to get along (at least eventually) but I do enjoy conflict too as long as its done well, doesn't overstay it's welcome, and makes sense.
During the chapter where Xavier got tossed around by Applejack during the iron pony competion, I noticed how he just took it as if he deserved it. I mean, from what I could gather, I'm guessing that Applejack was angry towards him because he basically proved that her's and her friend's racist views towards Zecora were wrong. Honestly, I don't really think she deserved to hold a grudge over him for that.
In fact, a bit of me was already imagining how Jeffrie would react to her if she did something like that to him. I think it might go something like this.
"Now look here Applejack, you do not have the right to be angry with me over that little misunderstanding with Zecora! It's not my fault that your sister has more common sense than you, and it sure as Hell ain't my fault that you and the other ponies have been judging Zecora without even bothering to get to know her! So don't think for a second that you can hold a grudge over me for doing what was right; because quite frankly, I have more important things to do than to take shit from a racist hypocrite who would rather blame others instead of accepting the fact that she made a mistake!"
As far as comedy goes, I can imagine how funny it would be if Jeffrie were to chew out Xavier for taking that crap in the first place.
4301450 And how Xavier would tune Jeff out most likely.
And for the record, Xavier didn't really "take it like he deserved it." He took it for Dash so she'd get a point during the iron pony competition, hence Jack being on Dash. AJ just used the opportunity to get payback in which Dash had visually shown disapproval of.
And Jeff's pretty edgy. No pony would dare mess with him.
4301499 Just to let you know, Jeffrie never refers to himself as Jeff. I'm not sure if I'd mentioned this in any of the previous chapters yet, but I just thought I'd let you know. (The same can be said for Jonathan and Andrew as well).
Payback for what exactly? Was she really hoping that she didn't have to be friends with Zecora? Or is it because she had to apologize to Apple Bloom for wanting to be open-minded? Like I said before, I don't really think she deserves to hold any grudge towards Xavier. And after reading some of the later chapters of your fic, I noticed that she seems to be becoming all the more unlikeable to me.
With that aside, I've done some re-edits to the first three chapters of my fic, and I think I might've improved on Jonathan's and Andrew's personalities a little.
4302475 Oh you're talking about your characters reacting to mine. Heh, sorry. Should've made that clear.
And as for your question, payback for undermining her on a continuous basis AND infront of her little sister. Not sure if you noticed, but AJ kinda had a stubborn prideful side that's shown throughout almost every AJ/Apple family centered episode. Win against her stubborn pride, even with logic, she's not gonna like you very much. Atleast from season one.
She IS hardheaded. If you'd notice, Applejack and Xavier don't really talk much to each other directly, as in without the others around.
Here's the thing though. I find that the way to make a story interesting is to have a dynamic character. One reason I'm interested in mlp is the characters and pretty much how much they grow. For example, Twilight. She's not as obsessive with everything being perfect and doesn't turn to Twilight Snapple whenever shit hits the fan with her plans ever since Cadence taught her a technique. Fluttershy isn't as much of a pushover anymore, and Rarity becomes less self-centered from the start. The other characters improve as well, but those three , in my opinion, have grown the most.
Which is sorta why the characters are the way they are now. So they'd have some room to grow. Ya think Jeff (from my story) is gonna be an edgelord forever? Think Jonathan (from my story) is gonna stay a hyperactive little kid forever? Think Hiroto's gonna stay an introverted nerd? If ya pay attention, Xavier's already shown improvement in his attitude seeing he doesn't hate Rarity anymore (although she still gets on his nerves from time to time) and Brianna learns from her mistakes. Their older brother has already started to get used to ideas he hadn't thought he'd get used to (although he hides it pretty well). Jack's still gonna be a flirty goofball, but I like him that way, but he can be a bit of a white knight at times. Right now we're just at the second season. In the canon universe, the mane 6 have changed significantly. This fiction however, they will change, but probably in a different way considering the different circumstance of having aliens from another world in their lives. Same will be said for Applejack.
All a part of character development dude.
