Confession Time with Sky #1 of ...?

Okay, here it goes:

I don't like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
I really don't.

Instead, I prefer the original. You know, with the ponies that actually were shaped like ponies. And they still have Pinkie Pie.
The new MLP seems too light. The original had some elements of darkness, such as the one where all the characters became hypnotized by an evil enchantress, get caged up and escape with awesome high kicks and lotsa cool stuffs. In FiM, Twilight Sparkle. SPARKLE. Now think sparkle. What else sparkles? Stephanie Meyer's "vampires". Also:

TWILIGHT SPARKLE. How can this NOT be obvious? Twilight. In the series of books by Steph, the "Vampires" Sparkle. I mean, is Ms. Faust trying to support the ludicriousness of Twilight? 'Cause she's doing a good job.

Now, that's not saying I don't like to write fiction about the characters, but I don't like the show itself.
