Preview of story Nr. 2 (Adventures of Captain Goodguy)

Hmmm… How do I start this?

I could start with telling about my many adventures?

No that’s not good…

Maybe from the beginning?

Nah, too cliche.

I guess I will start with my name.

My name is Discord, or Sir Discord as I am called in Canterlot. I live in Canterlot and has done so for over seven hundred years. It is a quiet place to live, well if one looks away from the crime.

You know, I’ve never kept a journal before so this is all very new to me. Perhaps I should rethink this whole thing. Why i’m even writing this journal i’m still asking myself.

But anyways, I am also another person. One whom you, my dear reader, might know. I am the cape wielding crusader, the purple masked knight who protects Equestria from the dark, I am the light in the darkness, a shining hope to everypony, I am, and I know this might come as a shock to you-

Captain GoodGuy!

Now, I recommend you, my dear reader, to lay down this journal for a minute, maybe go outside, get some fresh air, maybe get a smoothie. Such shocking reveals tends to be quite, uuh shocking, to some ponies. Not that I would know of anypony else knowing my secret for I have never revealed it to anypony… Not that I can remember at least. Although it wouldn’t surprise me if I in a drunken haze or stupor I would have waltzed over to somepony or something(I seem to remember once sweet talking a cactus) and say something along the lines: “Hey, wanna know my secret identity?” And that is why I stopped drinking cider.

In case you don’t know who Captain GoodGuy is, which would be weird, then allow me to explain. I am the caped crusader, the purple masked kn… I already wrote that.

Its surprisingly hard to erase ink from paper. Will have to keep that in mind for the future. I’ll be honest, I don’t read a lot and write even less.

But back to the question. Who is Captain GoodGuy? Well, its me. I am the protector of Equestria. One of the few standing in the way of the feathery tendrils of evil. As you probably know, Equestria is a country filled with villains of all kinds. Few know just how many there has been. I myself being one of the few who knows just how bad things have been compared to what they have become. I have fought villains you have probably never heard off in your life, and count yourself lucky that they aren’t around in your lifetime.

You see, my dear reader, when you are reading this, you are probably enjoying a quiet time of peace in Equestria. Although many things have changed in the past months, I hardly think anypony has really noticed. All of the commotion did happen very quickly. I myself wasn’t around when it happened.

I doubt even less you don’t know of the commotion that I’m talking about, but for all I know a thousand years has passed when somepony reads this, so allow me to explain.

A week ago, something strange happened. I have only heard this from ponies who were around at the time, so it might be a little off from what actually happened.

I heard that our good King Sombra had gotten a visit from six strange ponies who resembled an awful lot like some of the worst criminals in Equestria, except these six were actually good.

In case you have no idea who King Sombra is, or should I say was… Allow me to clarify. King Sombra’s one of the few ponies who have helped me in my quest for peace and justice for Equestria since I started this whole superhero business. He was a unicorn, a very powerful one at that with a good heart. He was made king to control and keep Equestria together in dark times where politicians, councils and other things alike wouldn’t be able to anything.

Times weren’t well at that point. The evil queen Celestia had returned and even turned Luna back over to her side.

I’m guessing you are wondering: “But Discord, you handsome spandex wearing superhero, who are these evil queens?” I was afraid you’d ask that, but I will enlighten you. I’m sure you have heard of the mythical alicorns, a race of ponies who were a mix between the three races but much stronger in every way. The queens are alicorns. Queen Celestia and queen Luna. The two of them are so powerful that they can even control the sun and moon. Mixing this with them being sadistic females bent on world domination and you have a recipe for enchilada milkshake…I mean disaster. Sorry my mind tends to do go off track and I sometimes get bursts of this...chaos I suppose one can call it. But my job as the protector of Equestria has always collided with their thirst for power so naturally we fought quite often. At some point, Sombra somehow made Luna good. I have no idea how. But without her sister, Celestia stood at a disadvantage against me when we fought, although it never occurred to her since she kept planning ambushes and continuing her quest for world domination.

My life seemed to go down the drain after they returned. I became reckless as I wanted to find them and that is where I failed my Equestria. They lured me into a trap where they used a spell on me I didn’t even know existed and turned me to stone. I should have learned by now not to underestimate my enemies. But as you have probably figured out, it wasn’t permanent. In fact it only lasted for a few months, but I will never forget that feeling. I felt empty, without emotion yet I could register everything that was happening around me. Like I was a painting on a wall. The world went by but I didn’t. I still shiver whenever I remember it. What made the experience worse was the fact that the queens visited regularly just to taunt me. The ponies of Equestria assumed I was dead and even put up a statue of me, a gesture that touched me dearly when I returned.

But less than a day later after these six newcomers arrived, and I know this is hard to believe, I heard accounts of there being two Luna’s and Celestia’s fighting and six sparkling stones of some kind. I think they were called elements or something, but i’m not sure. And then the strangest thing of them all happened. Suddenly the good King Sombra was gone and replaced with the two evil queens, except they weren’t evil anymore.

Don’t ask. I am still trying to wrap my head around it.

And around this time I was freed from my stone prison. As you can imagine, I wasn’t exactly happy at the time so I rushed back to Canterlot and went to face the queens only to be informed they weren’t evil anymore. Yesterday was a very strange day.

I don’t trust them and I probably never will, but no matter their intentions, evil schemes and whatever they are planning while sitting there on the Equestrian throne, I will not be fooled. I will stop them and I will win as right as my name is Captain hunnybunny…

I really should go see a doctor about these outbursts.
