Crescent Minor

I loved writing fiction and songwriting, and I still do, but I've hit a long slump. I'll use my newly-found love of ponies to get back on my creative hooves, so to speak.

SERIOUS SPOILERS FOR THE SEASON 6 FINALE.
Well, BUCK.
That was a rolling epic that brought amazing depth to some of our favourite secondary characters and it was loaded with creepy imagery. However, as always ... my poor little headcanons and all the fanfictions thereof! :fluttershbad:
I guess it's not that big of a deal, I can still write whatever I want ... it's just now I'll have to tag it AU and say something like 'This is pre-Thorax Jesus.' I can't help but think there are a LOT of changeling fans who will still want to be able to write them how they have been, back when they were still making everything up. How about a Retro Changeling group? I could go for a Retro Changeling group. I rather liked imagining them like insect Borg (speaking of Star Trek, there was totally a Next Generation episode where that exact Thorax Jesus thing happened with one of the alien races and if nobrony's talking about it soon, I'm going to ... have to bring it up myself).

That being said ... I eagerly await the new fanons and theories about this glittery new breed. Like ... if they don't have to feed anymore, do they just not eat? Are they going to be sort of like ponies in that friendship and love must be shared or else there are serious consequences (Nightmare Moon, Pinkamena, Wendigos)? What if one of these glitterbugs misses being what they were, unlikely as that is? Could they choose to withhold their love from others or steal love, and by doing so reverse their transformation?

Honestly ... I'm never a fan of these sudden glorious happy endings that happen so often on this show. Everyling in that entire hive just up and abandoned their whole way of life pretty dang quick, didn't they? But, as I always say to myself, it's never quite as bad as it seems at the time, because they always bring greater depth in retrospect, like with Sunset Shimmer.
