This, ladies and gentlemen, is Type: Null's EVOLUTION. Not different form or even mega evolution, but full-on 100% pure evolution. It's called Silvadi, or Shiruvadi. Let's be honest, Type: Null is already a Pokemon that looks evolved enough, but then we go and give it an evolution with a brand-spanking new ability. This ability is called AR-System. What does it do, you ask? Okay, you ready for this?
AR-System changes Silvadi's type depending on its hold item.
Hmm... Where have I heard that before?
And AR-System? Those letters are the first two of... something...
Something extremely powerful... almost... godlike.
Type: Null is supposedly an artificially created Pokemon, correct?

But honestly, this does make me wonder if the angle with Aether is less, "Outright villain" And more "Well intentioned Extremists." Like, we already know the possibility that their leaders are the Ultra Beasts, but maybe that plays into it? They genuinely have good intentions, but they've got no idea that what their doing is dangerous or potentially harmful. That's my guess anyway, :/
