I've had this enormous plot bunny ever since the release of Legend of Everfree. The summary goes as such:
A few days after the Gaia Everfree incident, monsters from another dimension appear at Canterlot City every Friday night. Sunset Shimmer was unfortunate enough to encounter one on her way home, but is saved by a mysterious cloaked duo who call themselves the Phantom Guardians. She pursues the two for several days, trying to get information on the monster hunters' identities.
One fateful day, she, Twilight and Timber return home from school only to be ambushed by a Deathstalker. As predicted, the Phantom Guardians come to their rescue. After a fierce battle, one of the guardians' cloak is knocked off, revealing him to be Flash Sentry.
Wait, what? Did Flash Sentry just fight off a giant scorpion using a guitar case and an iron rod?
And that is where the story begins, with Flash serving as the main protagonist.
I need honest opinions and criticisms on how this will work.
I like the concept. Is he in some kind of secret society?

Not yet since there are only two of them at the beginning of the story. They do recruit more members as the story progresses however.
