Here's an idea I got from playing Dark Souls.

First Story: Ash Seeketh Embers

Synopsis: Celestia has fallen ill thanks to a curse by Tirek that robbed her of the power to control the sun. In order to save her, Sunset Shimmer must embark on a dangerous journey with a mysterious knight known as: Ash The Unkindled and together they stop Tirek and bring light back to Equestria.

Sequel: The Flame Rekindled

Synopsis: After restoring Celestias' powers, Sunset learns that Ash is the son of Celestia who was cursed during the war against King Sombra and was robbed of his own power to control the flame along with the inability to feel any sort of emotion but as Ash gets to know Sunset a little more he begins to feel a certain spark towards the fiery haired mare.
