Review for Legends of Everfree early viewing · 3:12pm Sep 25th, 2016
Pros: It was great to see the gang in action again, even if it was only after getting half way into the movie.
Con:What was the point in the ending of the Friendship Games, if they were just going to throw away any chance of using it in this one? I thought the point of the ending sequence was the set up the next one. Did they do that here? NO.
General Points: Gloriosa was the least suspecting villain to me, which was great. I never would of thought that she'd be the one to become possessed by that kind of magic even though she did have the best of intentions. It was nice seeing Sci Twi's struggle with Midnight internally.
The music was kind of catchy XD too. That and we have a new love interest for human Twilight other then Flash. Like I said earlier on, I do think its annoying they threw away the ending of Friendship Games and cut it out of Everfree. There are some parts that feel disjointed, but that didn't diminish my enjoyment of it.
It was interesting seeing the human Mane 7 get new powers, even though their not exactly new.
Here's a theory: The powers they get towards the end are from Remnants of the pony MANE 6's rainbow powers/Shards of the crystals of the Elements of Harmony. Then we see a crack in the top of the Wondercolts statue at the end of the movie leaking magic. Just like a FAN FIC I've read that talks about magic from Equestria leaking through the portal into the human world and altering the balance there.
The whole premise with Filthy Rich actually felt unnecessary. And out of character since we've seen that in the pony world, he's not a bad guy. Despite being Diamond Tiara's father.
