Just answering some questions I’ve been asked regarding Reignite, and my other stories

How powerful is Marcia, compared to the other members of the cast?

Marcia is actually one of the weakest members of the cast. Her original and hybrid form in terms of raw strength she’s the weakest of the group, fair enough she is on the same level as Shaun in terms of fighting skill. Her magic potential is average in terms of Equestrian standards and she doesn’t know any form of magic outside of what she has figured out on her own.

Marcia’s biggest strength and weakness is that her abilities are tied to her personality, her barriers are due to her nature as a pacifist and telekinesis is a result of her analytical ability which limits it’s range (She sees it as moving a phantom limb, rather than moving the object in question with her mind). Even the Betrayal’s mimicry ability is a result of Marcia’s creative nature. Her “Senshi” form is her own mimicry ability taken to it’s next logical step.

Now there is some confusion about “Release Restraint” as most people has asked me if this is a straight up power boost, it’s not…It’s simply Marcia becoming willing to kill, which is why her barriers go from a defensive ability to an offensive one. The only reason she seems so powerful is because of the Memoria can be hurt with magic (It takes a powerful magic user to outright kill one) and the Betrayal is a weapon specifically made to kill Memoria.

Is there some sort of power scaling?

Power scaling? Well in order from strongest to weakest in terms of raw overall ability…

1)Setsuna Meioh/Sailor Pluto - Retains her own abilities and the abilities of every Senshi at the time of becoming a Sentiment, can also access a portion of the Lambda Power but not to the same extent as Sailor Cosmos who has full access. Universe Buster.

2)Princess Celestia - Has full control over any solar body, as well as light, and gravity manipulation. Considered to be one of the most powerful mages in Equestria. Solar System Buster.

3)Princess Luna - Full control of any lunar body, as well as shadow, water, gravity and dream manipulation. More versatile power set than her sister. Planet Buster.

4)Twilight Sparkle - Potentially a more powerful mage than Celestia, can use any form of magic but has yet to fully master it. She is a student for a reason…Continent Buster.

5)Cadance and Cillen Raines - Powers are similar, Cadance over emotions and Cillen over memories. Cadance is the stronger of the two in terms of magic and overall, but Cillen is stronger offensively. Cadance is a straight up City buster, Cillen is only a Planet Buster due to his “All-Delete” ability.

6)Cyrus Raines - Same power set as Cillen, but has the ability to create Memoria while Cillen does not. City Buster on his own, Potential Multi-verse buster if the Memoria is left unchecked. Does not have “All-Delete”.

7)Rainbow Dash - Only one who retains her Element, and receives a boost from it, weather manipulation. City Buster due to the Sonic Rainboom.

8)The Memoria (in general) - Hard to kill, and reproduce quickly if left unchecked. Vulnerable to magic, excessive physical force and weapons like the Betrayal. Multi-verse buster if left unchecked.

9)Shaun and Matt - Physically the strongest members of the cast. Weather manipulation.

10)Marcia - Weapon and form mimicry, Betrayal is outright lethal to Memoria. Barrier manipulation, limited time manipulation immunity. Can level a small building in her “Senshi” form.

In The Curious Tale of Dr Shine and Ms Sparkle, how did you come up with Twilight’s personality?

Wasn’t hard really, I just took the SciTwi’s personality and used that for a basis for Dusk’s personality, Twilight herself is more or less a more flirty and forward of her canon personality.

How did you come up with some of the ideas for the story?

Well the title of the story is a obvious reference of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, and I admit a spell going wrong is a common trope for Dusk/Twilight. The main pairing is MacxTwi/DuskxLuna and any other pairing is either a one time thing or a friends with benefits situation.

Dusk/Twilight’s parents reaction is more or less based on my own annoyance at the parental reaction is almost never covered seriously in the gender bender genre. I mean it would make a good plot point wouldn’t it?

As for Cadance’s character…think about it, isn’t she the princess of love? I’m taking that as literal as I can. So I would imagine that would mean she would into a lot of things, and is pretty much open minded when it comes to sexual freedom.

As for Celestia wanting to bed Dusk and have him all to herself. Well I always wanted to write a yandere-ish character and considering how in control of herself she is, it would be interesting to she if she actually lost it.

In the Homecoming of the Sunset Sky, is there a reason for Sky’s reaction for some Sunset’s habits?

It’s pretty much for world building, I would imagine that Equestrian and Human culture is very different from each other. The scene where Sunset is walking around nude in her own home despite letting Sky stay over, is more or less one take on this. To me Sunset would be okay walking around nude in private as in Equestria clothing is usually saved for occasions like the gala, but has been on earth long enough to know public nudity can get you arrested. Not to mention her surprise when Sky tells her Humans don’t have cutie marks.
