Why HIE stories portrays humans as doormats

I mean, i know its a whole new world with no war, but even with stories like in Distorted Flares universe, the human ussually gets raped and does nothing about it, in real life the dude would be fist fighting the mare, in the mayority of the stories, and no humans are not submissive in nature, we are predators, predators are not submissive especially if its male, if a male was in equestria with his friends, he would not take shits from anyone, he would not let Twilight take experiments, he would not let a pony harrass him, if you do not let a bully harrass you at school, in equestria why would you let it slide
