There are just some things in life that makes a person mad. Now, I could go on about everything that makes me mad, but you might read it don't care. This is a site about pony stories, so by golly, I'll make it relevant.

My Pony-Related Peeves

Now, there will always be bad writers. I won't lie, I'm one of them. No amount of schooling can turn a child into a great scholar or writer. But there are some that rise above the rest, those few that actually write well, have proper grammar, and can draw a reader into a story.

But those good writers are rare, and you have to wade through an endless cesspool of thirteen-year-olds writing a story about their original character saving Equestria or some other :flutterrage: like that.

Now, as I said before, you can't escape that. There will always be thirteen-year-olds, and there will always be bad writers, but the next part is what I hate most.

Say someone writes a terrible story. Another cliche-filled, illegible cup of trash like every other cliche-filled, illegible cup of trash. Any mature person with an education would leave a comment or review outlining the things wrong with the story, a little thing called "constructive criticism".

Unfortunately, this doesn't happen all that often. Instead, people will either praise the story, supporting the writer to continue with their terrible :flutterrage: or they will simply criticize the story without saying how to correct it.

Maybe you understand what I'm trying to say. Maybe you don't. I'll try to condense this into a sentence or two.

If you can write well, then more power to you. Write to your heart's content. But when some little kid wants to write, give it to them straight. They can't do it. At least they can't do it alone. Help them out. Teach them how. If they actually listen, and they actually apply it to their writing, then you've succeeded.

But if they don't, :ajsleepy: tough luck.

Anyway, that's all I've got.
Signing off,

Well said. ...Although, kids could probably write better stuff than some of the really bad MLP:FiM episodes.
