I recently played through X and Y again just for shits and giggles. In my travels, I came across not one but TWO shiny Pokemon, the first of which I found naturally without the need for trade since 2008 when I played through Pokemon Pearl and found a shiny Geodude. Do you want to know what both of them are?

You should be happy. I'm playing Pokemon for over ten years now and never even had one shiny. (Red Gyarados doesn't count
