Ideeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa!!! Plus Previews.

So I decided to write another blog but not just reissue the last one. In fact, I guess unless you go back to the other blog posts, I won't be featuring my Short Stories and other works in progress, but instead just continue to share progress regarding Price of Loyalty.

Bit o' news first. Price of Loyalty's coming along slowly but it's coming out SO much better than it was before! I'm really darn happy with it. Even better, my new, but very nice and awesome friend DiveBomb is currently working with me on a cover art for the story. Hopefully it'll help the story stand out along with its' quality! It'll still be coming along slowly, and more importantly I'm debating on whether or not to hold off on submitting Chapter One right away. I know the wait is long and grueling but there's a reason. See, the entire first chapter is being told in a certain narrative structure the rest of the story doesn't, and I don't wanna give folks the wrong idea of what's in store. I want them to get a clear cut idea what my story is and how it will go, and it might be better if I have Chapter Two published so it won't be so misleading. That's definitely going to be the case before I try EQD but just so you guys are getting the best story possible, I may go with that strategy. However I will be updating the Prologue soon so expect to see that change at some point. It already went through an extension from just the note at the start, since I had something else I wanted to tie into the narrative, but it's currently getting polished. Be sure to keep an eye out for it!

Second bit of news. All of you folks who have been reading my blogs know of some of my projects, one of them includes .hack//Equestria. I recently found out the name was already taken, and other folks have been taking jabs at the .hack crossover. This does not, however, mean I want to deter the story or put it off, because I'm actually very excited to work on it, just as much as I am for Price of Loyalty. I may however need to give it a different name. Regardless of what goes down, I really want to share that story with you guys, so below are the very first drafts of the story thus far, and have not been polished, expanded on, or anything. It will be undergoing that process soon however. There's also a lot of content and structure I'll be keeping for the final version. Anyway, if you're interested in what I have so far, then I happily invite you to check out what I have below:

Finally, a couple new story announcements. I just recently watched PONIES: The Anthology II, and it's given me a few awesome ideas for future stories. I'd like to share them with you today!

The first skit and idea in question is this clip from the Anthology: The Trotting Dead. While yes, it's a joke and such, however it intrigued that inner writer in me, including a major fan of The Walking Dead. I've been playing the Telltale game for a while now, and I've watched the show as well as read a hefty chunk of the comics, plus I'm a zombie fan in general and I take a liking to writing survival stories. So I decided I wanted to write a story inspired that skit. What I'd like for it to end up is being sorta how Fallout Equestria is, a giant fic that sets up the world, and maybe other stories stem from it, while it may or may not include tidbits from my own. Then again I may wait for someone else to make the big one while I just make a Survivor Story. Either way I'd really like to write a fic based in this universe, and may more than likely include or star OC's without featuring any of the Main 6. This way if anyone else does a Fic based on the same thing, they can do their own thing. For now, there's nothing concrete, and it's in the planning stage, but I'll be sure to keep you guys updated with it.

The second skit was shortly before it, and I don't have an independent clip for it. That one was based on the movie Avatar. In the skit, Jake Sully went to control the avatar, and woke up as a pony instead. While comical as well, I thought maybe I could write another story that's partly inspired from that. It could just be a human controlling a pony avatar, or who knows what else, but I liked the idea, so it's something I'm definitely considering. I'll make sure to post updates on this too!

Finally, I'm really growing to love the Price of Loyalty universe. So much so, I already have 2 sequels planned, one canon to PoL, the other non-canon. However I thought of making spin-offs based in the same universe. The first is indirectly inspired from another skit from Anthology II, and not the skit itself, but its' source; Firefly. I saw the first episode of the show recently on Netflix, and I was fascinated with it. It did manage to crop one little idea in my head, and it is this: Ponies in space. I figured that since my made-up country the Lunar Confederacy in the PoL universe is so technologically advanced, I figured that Space Travel could be possible due to the technology mentioned. It might be another survival story or may end up being like adventures from the show Firefly. The other spin-off in question is actually inspired from a game called Syndicate, and another called Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Power crystals in the same universe can be used for space travel as well as augments and things like that, so I thought that maybe I could go with an even more interesting futuristic style, while taking on a corporate espionage story. There's nothing concrete here for either spin-off but I'd like to do them and expand on the established universe some more. Maybe if I'm lucky other folks will want to write about the universe too, and that's my big hope!

So! That concludes all my big news, and I'm gonna be refraining from posting some of my other stories, at least until they have more significant progress to them. For now, Price of Loyalty and .hack//Equestria are the main ones on my plate and imma try to get 'em done! Thank all of you for your patience, and I can't wait to show you more stuff I'm writing!
