Non Existent Arc Title: The Seamount Mire · 1:39am Aug 6th, 2016
For those interested, this short arc that introduces both Scootaloo and my take on Seaponies were taken from these stories. Moreso "The Shadow over Innsmouth" but "Dagon" is just my favorite short Lovecraft thing to introduce the way things are described and while I may be combining the ideas of probably Inception, the Emotional Spectrum (and therefore the Green Lantern Corps), elements of anime (particularly Bleach's more flashy bits and literally the soul weapons are literally soul reaper blades- 2014 me and 2016 me still get along with the flashy fight sequences) and general horror, body horror stuff, and dreams, Lovecraft is both good and bad. And don't worry, when I write the chapters after chapter five- it will not be as depressing or mind screw. Dream chapters are fun though. But we need some cooldown to relearn or figure out the norm after chapter five. Thank goodness for a few breather episodes of the show itself in season two. Since going by the arc and how its been going- its still after Lesson Zero and right before Luna Eclipsed, and then we have the fun Sisterhooves Social to deal with.
Which is also fun.
So read these and keep in mind that since I'm keeping that line that Discord was an Avatar of Nyatharlotep back in chapter one? I believe and after two years and realizing that I made a lot of other bad guys in MLP Avatars of different things- (I have a lot planned for stories so dont worry) I wonder how Chrysalis will do since she is in charge of a horde of changelings that are her offspring
Now if only Lovecraft had a mother figure that had a ton of young. Oh Wait.
Just saying- ironic how since I made her the main bad guy for this story before coming up with her being an Avatar of Shub-Niggurath. And while that name now sounds very problematic that some authors use Shub-Niggarauth or something still very samey its there. The Black Changeling of a Thousand Hordes is going to be fun- especially I do like writing Chrysalis.
Which is going to cause a ton of problems if going by Bleach rules and how I see her- she's Aizen- especially since I have even more backstory on her and the alicorn fun trio I haven't written yet but that's later. Let's just say the past of MLP in this crossover AU is pretty dark. And that's with Celestia ordering a genocide of seapony hybrids in Seamount and active Elder Gods walking around in certain Avatars, and the Dreamlands being pretty hard to manage.
