    Just a little update

Alright, first of all, I'd like to thank all of you that have read and added The Equestrian Scrolls to favorites :pinkiehappy:. I never expected such a great response from just one chapter, and it makes me feel awesome that so many people want more. So, just to keep you all in the loop, here's a status update on The Equestrian Scrolls:

Should I write more than one chapter before posting? · 4:42am Sep 10th, 2012

Just as the name says, I've been wondering about a few things lately involving my writing, #1 being how I should go about writing my stories. I know that my post times are pretty stretched out, even for such small chapters; I just spend so much time obsessing over getting every. single. detail. right. I can't let myself post a chapter without being near-completely satisfied with the content, how I portray my characters, etc. Sorry, that's just my OCD taking over :twilightblush:. Basically, what I'm asking is this simple question:
Should I write multiple chapters before posting?
Now, before you get all confused, let me explain. What my plan would be is this: before posting anything in a story, I would write several chapters for it, for shortened posting time.
For example: instead of just posting every chapter in Adventures With Toshio as I finish them, I write 2 or 3 instead, then, over the next week, gradually post the chapters, with smaller gaps in between posting times. The main con to this plan, however, is that once I run out of chapters, it'll probably be another long wait as I write 2-3 more.
What I'm asking is should I go along with this plan, or keep doing what I've been doing, posting every chapter as I finish them? And in regard to new stories, should I follow up with this plan at first?

Thank you for your feedback, and the non-negative responses I've gotten on Adventures with Toshio. I apologize for such a long wait in between chapters, but I had a sudden inspiration the other day for a brand new story, one I think will be way better than AWT could ever be, and I haven't been able to stop writing it. On top of that, I've got the responsibilities of holding a job, keeping my grades up in school, and being the official editor for my friend's fanfic. I'm actually thinking about just putting the story On Hiatus until I can get back to it, due to the fact that I just can't get into the mood for writing AWT anymore, when I've got two 20% cooler fics to edit/write, with a lot more potential than my less-than-unoriginal OC fic.
Once again, please tell me what you think I should do in the comments below, and thank you for the good response I've gotten so far for my first fanfic. I promise that I'm not dead, or that I haven't forgotten about my FIMFiction.net account :rainbowlaugh:.

Brohoofs to all,
Sergeantmolt
