Thandor - The Equestrian Invasion: The Info Blog

This blog contains a lot more information about my first story, so reading it, before reading the actuall fanfic is advised!

Explanations

This fanfic is gonna be a crossover between the german Real Time Strategy game “Thandor – The Invasion” from 1999 and My Little Pony in total. This story will contain lots of base building, researching different vehicle and weapon types as well as combat in the attacking or defending manor. There will be much loss due to no conversations or dialogue (except for the HQ guy talking to you of what’s happening). So I’ll try to put some dialog or one-liners in here and there just to lighten up the mood. I’ll also put some HQ speeches in the story, but they will be in German just for the shits and giggles.

Story

The Golrathen (the very bad type of people) return 10 years after their last great defeat by the alliance. The alliance is now shattered and the Golrathen begins to enslave other planets and people. Can the last loyal troops of the alliance bring it back to its old strength and defeat the evil once again?

There are different groups you can play with or against. They have each a different color. So I decided to replace the group with a pony that resembles that exact same color.

Devoken – Big Macintosh

Ilurer – Lyra

Albor – Applejack

Urdoner – Button Mash

Alderaden – Miss Cheerliee

Golrathen – Nightmare Moon

Environment

You can play on four different planets in Thandor. You have the earthlike planet Thorgon, the desert planet Gotol, the volcanic planet Golkarath and the arctic planet Urdon. I’m gonna place these planets into following scenarios.

Thorgon – Equestria (think of a location around Ponyville)

Gotol – Saddle Arabia

Golkarath – Dragon Lands

Urdon – Crystal Empire

Resources

Thandor has basically three main resources: Xenit, Tritium and Energy. Xenit is the money that you need for building up your base and army and also for researching new vehicles and weapons. Tritium is a material that is converted into energy in power plants. And Energy is needed so all your turrets, mines, research labs and factories are working properly. Without enough Energy a building doesn’t work, so it doesn’t produce or research anything or leaves your base defenseless.

For the fanfic it goes like this:

Xenit – Money -> Bits

Tritium – Energy resource -> Magic

And Energy stays Energy

Weapons

In Thandor you have a lot of stuff that your army can use on its vehicles. There are four main research labs, where you can develop new weapons. “Rockets and Artillery”, “AA-Guns and Canons”, “Ions and Lasers” and “Special research lab”.

Vehicles

In the Thandor universe you have a lot of different vehicles. You have normal ones like cars, than you have tanks, walkers (mechas), glieders, ships and airplanes.
