It Started As A One-Shot · 8:03am Jun 26th, 2016
Well, since I'm watching a live Joel Vinesauce stream during the time I usually work on The Half of It, I've decided to give an update on the story's progress while I watch. So as the title says, this started as a one-shot but I let it grow into a full length story. This is why I've only had one chapter up for several months, but I've been working on it since then. I've planned at least 20 chapters, all of them are in between a detailed synopsis and a very rough draft stage. What I want to have done before posting more chapters is getting them all into that draft stage, so I have everything properly planned out before setting it in stone.
There are still many things to work out, including certain parts where I'm going to have this story cross paths with A New Way in a non-influential way. Essentially, that story doesn't know that my story exists in the same universe (though the author of A New Way does, I asked him for permission myself). So that means I have to do a bit of extra work to make sure that certain scenes are at the right time and day, and that certain things are possible to do without splitting off into a different universe.
Here's hoping that it'll be worth the wait!
