If I said that I knew what love was, at age 14 knowing that I won't feel it again soon?

I met a girl, seems like long ago
It seemed like it would work out
And my heart was screaming, and i had to shout
"I love you"
But it wasn't meant to be
We loved each other, but life didn't like what it had to see
So we went on different paths, never together
And in order, to be happy, we had to forget eachother
I know what love is, so, now, I'll let it find me
Cause I know, that story was not meant to be
Time to turn to the next chapter of the book
There's another one out there, I'll have to look
But, right now, I like the rought I'm going on
