The June 2016 Update Blog · 8:10pm Jun 15th, 2016
(TL;DR version at the bottom of the post).
Wow, it's been a while since I've used this!
Hello and welcome to the June 2016 Update Blog! We've got a few topics to cover so, let's go ahead and jump right in!
Firstly, the long delay in blogs! For a while there, my sole focus on FimFiction became Marked and Marked alone, writing/editing the story. Then, about the same time I finished the story, it was time for Final exams, then moving across the country. As it stands I am two timezones away from my previous location! That said, things have begun to stabilize, for a time, meaning I can get right back to work!
Next topic, Story news! Marked was my forst official story on this site, and I have to say that it performed far better than I had ever expected it to, going so far as being featured numerous times! It was meant more as a test of my writing abilities, and a way to gain feedback on what exactly I needed to improve upon in terms of literaure. In that sense, it was a complete success. I learned more about grammar, formatting, narration, and story elements in writing Marked than I have in most English classes. Thanks to all of you who gave be constructive criticisms, I needed it!
Now that I have completed Marked, some of you may be wondering what I'll be doing next. Well, I do intend on using what I learned here to make a real novel, but I am not leaving FiMFiction anytime soon! I do have a few other story ideas, some involving Equestria at war, others trying out a concept with Equestrian Dragons, and one concept for a Marked Prequel about Far Reach. I have not decided which one I want to do yet, so feedback is welcomed here!
That's just about it for now, so as always, Keep on doing what you all do best!
TL? DR? NP! (Too long? Didn't read? No problem!)

>I set out to bet constuctive criticisms, and that's exactly what I got! Thank you all!
-Now that my big story is over, I have more plans in the works.
>I intend on writing a real novel, not Fanfiction, using what I learned from Marked.
>As far as FiMFiction writing goes, I have ideas for new stories, but no official choice. Ideas include a few war stories, a story exploring dragon friendship, and a Marked prequel for Far Reach.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you around everyone! I'm Ironsmith, keep on doing what you do best!
