Story Update
This past weekend was very productive me, not so much for my editor/wife.
I was able to sit down with a fifth of bourbon and some sweet tea (I live in the southern United States) and write Chapter II and about a 1/4 of Chapter III. If you don't know me or haven't read my story, It's my first story i have written and it is a Fallout Equestria story. The story has been in the works for close to 2 weeks now and I have received some criticism based on the fact that it is a Fallout Equestria story. One of the critics said ...
"Why are there so many Fallout Equestria Stories? You are stealing intellectual property"
To that I say, you realize we are writing fan fiction about a show on TV right? That show is someone else's intellectual property.
I don't care whether or not people criticise your work based on it being a fallout equestria fanfic
. To be honest, I like the fact that it's FOE, not only because it's an interesting subject and has the possibility for many different stories, but that it symbolizes something important, a mini-fandom. I'm calling it that because it's a fandom inside a fandom, sorta like the ones for the stories Cupcakes and rainbow factory, as well as on the fandom character Nyx , just on a much bigger and better scale and potential. So if people want to believe that FOE stories are just plain horrible or shouldn't be around (whether completely or in smaller numbers), then that's their opinion, but I think that the author should still do it if they want to.
