Rinnaul

I do nothing of merit. On occasion, I give the impression of being creative, but this is a deception. I am merely derivative in clever ways.

Dropping in to try and find some art

So my hard drive bricked back in the fall, and I finally replaced my computer with the stimulus money. But I don't really have a good way to try and recover the stuff that was on there, so that sucks.

But, I was hoping for some help in finding one particular bit of pony art that I haven't been able to dig up again since then.

June 17: I wreck my car.
July 5: My cousin I grew up with dies after an extended illness.

Welp, that's just... everything fucked, I guess

So back around June 20, I wrecked my car.

Then back on August 28, the tires on my wife's car got torn up hitting something on the road, and we wound up needing all new tires.

I don't think my cat likes my work

So it's been a struggle to write anything, for various reasons, but I *was* trying to get back onto Legacy Ch 4 not long ago.

Then today I was sitting at the table and started hearing faint tearing noises from behind me. I turned around and discovered that somehow my rough draft had wound up on the floor and the cat had done this:

    Random Encounter

This was a fun moment. Choppy cause I had to remove a bunch of game speech commands and the usual bit of racist shit-talking.

Also this was before I found out Scribbler did another reading of my stuff. I would have probably said that instead of RCL.

Overchoice 2: The "I have so many things I could do that I wind up doing none of them" Strikes Back · 6:34am Jun 4th, 2016

Here. Here are all of the things I ought to work on.

Let's go down the list.

Water of Life isn't horsewords. It's an original work, a post-apocalyptic steampunk re-imagining of the fairy tale of the same name. It's an entry in the second Steampunk Fairy Tales anthology. This one I have a deadline on, since I need to have a first draft finished by the end of the month.

Van Pinkie is some silliness involving a pink party pony's paranoia. Also batponies. Started years ago, like it enough to write a little on it every so often.

The Untitled MoonFire Adventure is something that Manaphy prompted with a blog post. Spitfire and Moondancer get lost in the mountains. And discover there is such a thing as breezie badasses. Needs a more solid plot before I continue working on it.

The Prequel Plotting file belongs to the long-awaited prequel to my clopfic "Hot Coffee". I have the plot worked out. I just need to fill in the details and write a bunch of sex, something I haven't been super into for a while.

Harvests and Heartache is to be the first chapter of an ongoing episodic Slice of Life sequel story to my clopfics "Odd One Out" and "An Evening In", featuring the ongoing non-Mature lives of Liz and Mac. The fic as a whole is titled "One Girl In All The World" because I like making references.

Legacy is about Twilight, Luna, Chrysalis, drama, romance, and forgiving. I really like this idea, and it's another one inspired by Manaphy. I've actually written two chapters already, and part of the third, but I don't like how Luna's first encounter with Chrysalis is turning out in that chapter. This one is likely the next long fic to go up.

To Be The King is that one HiE Sombra story I left on undeclared hiatus a while ago. I know how I want to redo it, and I have started work on that, but rewriting an entire story like that is kind of daunting, and I'm slow making any progress on it.

Echidna is romanticlop and drama with Fluttershy and an OC changeling queen. I like the idea, but haven't started any work on it beyond notes. It has nothing to with Knuckles from the Sonic games. Sorry, but TwilightSnarkle already wrote the most interesting Sonic/MLP crossovers possible. I've got nothing to say in that realm.

Getting on the Nice List is clop comedy with Trixie and Blitzen. Yes, the reindeer Blitzen. I want to get this done more because I think my ideas for reindeer are really cool than for the actual sex. A sort-of sequel might follow that's E-rated, but I'll save that for Christmas.

Getting Results is a very short silly scene I thought up that was going to be the first part of a comedy fic, but in hindsight it works better as a one-off joke scene. It'll likely be posted fairly soon in my "Got Bored, Wrote a Thing" compilation once I do some editing.

Princess Celestia Is In Your Bed At The End Of All Things was intended to take Admiral Biscuit's "Ponies In Your Bed" collaborative fic to the most absurd extreme, and featured that blend of silly dialogue and intense narration that made "Hosting Mr. ████████" so popular. I forget where I was going with it, but upon re-reading it, I like what's there. I'll figure it out again eventually.

And last but not least, Shadows of Seaddle is going to be a humanized MLP/Shadowrun crossover. It's still in the planning stages, but I have a lot of ideas for it, and I want to get it done sooner rather than later.

There's a huge pile of stuff beyond these 12 stories, too, plus the reviews I've been letting slide. But these are the big ones for now.

Now let's see if I actually do them instead of just playing TF2 or Minecraft all the time...

Welcome to the club, mate! I've had to sort my various MLP projects into four separate folders in gdocs (with a subfolder to contain all documents related to each story) just to have some semblance of organisation.
