Complaining Overload · 7:18pm May 19th, 2016
So I'm sure everyone has something to complain about these days. For some, it's the new Power Puff Girls or Teen Titans Go! For others, it's Paper Mario: Color Splash. Most likely, people are complaining about that new Ghostbusters movie, and all I can think is "... Why?" Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the originals were great and all, but even people like James Rolfe are complaining about it. You would think that the suckiness of something doesn't really matter when the past has more to offer (such as The Last Airbender in comparison to Avatar: The Last Airbender), but others are under the impression that the mere EXISTENCE of such a work ruins the series itself forever. Are the effects as good? I'm not an expert or anything, but they seem OK enough. Is the humor some sort of black hole of talent? I would have to say no, as I chuckled at the jokes myself. Is that one chick some revival of Jim Crow? Not even close.
In the end, people are bound to identify with the first thing they connected with, and thus compare it with whatever comes bearing a passing resemblance to it (Just take a look at half the comments I put on Tatsurou's work; even I'm susceptible to the complaining craze). Regardless of what other people think, take one thing from this in mind: Like whatever you want to like, regardless of what people say or think. Even Alvin Earthworm, one of the greatest flash animators of all time... doesn't like Dragonball Super just because the first 27 episodes follow the plot of the two newest movies. So yeah, be like Clyde and watch whatever you want to watch.
