Not That Kind of Girl by Lena Dunham · 9:05am May 16th, 2016
This made me laugh. http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/lena-dunham-describes-sexually-abusing-her-toddler-sister
I especially liked the quoted portion from the author's book and how horrified the article's author seemed by it. It's really worth looking at if you're into positive/neutral real-life accounts of girlhood sexuality as I am. I might just find or buy a copy of the author's book to see if there's anything else.
The younger sister's comment struck home amid the subsequent outrage from the author and the article writer's clear bias.
As a queer person: i'm committed to people narrating their own experiences, determining for themselves what has and has not been harmful / heteronormativity deems certain behaviours harmful, and others "normal"; the state and media are always invested in maintaining that / 2day, like every other day, is a good day to think about how we police the sexualities of young women, queer, and trans people
