Maybe I'll write ponies again. It's only been five years, eh?

    Hi there...

    Hey everyone!
I've been incredibly absent here and I'm sorry about that. I just haven't been very motivated to write anything new/ continue with These Dreams of Mine. Maybe sometime soon I'll be motivated again and write some new stories, but until then, thanks for being so supportive and lovely!

A Little Bit of an Update

    So... hey there :twilightblush:

I know I haven't been very active lately, and I'm sorry about that. The last episode review that I did was for "Where the Apple Lies" and I haven't written anything new since August. August was a long time ago.

"Where the Apple Lies"- Mini Review

    Cute and fluffy; very nice.

So... yeah. I'll just say that I did enjoy that episode for it's cute, fluffy, slice-of-lifey plot. Sure, it wasn't action-packed or full of adventure, but it really developed Apple Jack and Big Mac, and I liked it a lot for that.

"Every Little Thing She Does" and "P.P.O.V"- Mini Reveiws

    Two highly entertaining episodes!

(I absolutely love the facial expressions the ponies are making this season. :rainbowlaugh:)

Last week I was quite busy, so I decided to put my "Every Little Thing She Does" and "P.P.O.V" reviews together.

"A Hearth's Warming Tail"- Mini Review · 5:54pm May 15th, 2016

That was a pretty good episode.

Potential spoilers ahead :raritywink:

Hearth's Warming? Again?

Okay, just because they chose to do another Hearth's Warming episode already, and in May of all times, it doesn't make the episode any less interesting than it was.

So, overall the episode was pretty cute. It was based on A Christmas Carol, and even I've tried this idea with ponies. If you haven't read my version, I'd love for you to check it out.

There was quite a bit of music in this episode, and most of it was just meh to me. My favorite was most definately " Say Goodbye to the Holiday." It was wonderfully creepy and the first time I listened to it, it was one of those villian songs that gave me the chills. Starlight Glimmer seems to be growing on me. And it was nice to see her bangs back. :rainbowlaugh:

Anyways, I pretty much agreed to their choices for the characters, even if I did do it very differently when I wrote my version. Starlight's role as Scrooge was at first a little weird to me, but I got used to it after a bit. My ghosts were all different, but I understand where the show was coming from with their choices; except for maybe Apple Jack, who played The Ghost of Christmas Past and essentially acted as Bob Marley, telling Starlight a tiny bit about the Ghosts visiting her. In the book, the Ghost is described as spritely, and in movies, she is normally played by a young, beautiful woman. Honestly, I don't see Apple Jack as either, but I suppose that it didn't change the episode all that much.

I can't decide if I like or hate the new singing voice actress for Luna. Even though she sounded quite like Rarity while singing, I still feel like Kazumi Evans did a better job. The new one reminds me of FiW's Luna for some bizarre reason; don't ask me why.

Sadly, I feel like the story was a little bit rushed, though. I know that there's only 22 minutes for each episode, but I feel like they could've cut out Spike getting more hot chocolate, Twilight's Pinkie Pie voice, etc. and elaborated a little more on the story.

Overall, the episode was a bit rushed and a little bit strange, but it was a pretty cute episode.
