Holy crap, this is super emotional. · 12:31am Apr 26th, 2016
Hey everybody, its me, JibJibMonkey. So i was browsing one of my favorite youtuber channels, Mini Ladd, and I came across this video. I just finished watching it and it's about 2 hours long. I urge you to watch the whole video before you read what I'm writing afterwards. So here is the video and please like it and share it with as many people as possible. It's very emotional and for those of you who get emotional very easily, you may need some tissues. So without further adieu, here it is.
Mini Ladd plays That Dragon, Cancer
Now this game was made by Ryan and Amy Green who made this game as a memorial to their son, Joel Evan Green who, at the age of only 2 was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was only given a small time to live. Joel's parents went through medical treatment after medical treatment and I just tip my hat to these people because this is a hard thing to go through and it's even worse for parents. The game was developed by a small team under the name, Numinous Games. Joel was born on January 12, 2009 and died on March 13, 2014. He was only 5 when he died.
Now I want to talk a little bit about terminal cancer and just cancer in general. Cancer is an incurable disease that kills 7.6 million people every year and 4 out of those 7.6 million die prematurely. Cancer has many different forms. Some examples are breast, skin, lung, brain, bone, eye, kidney, and terminal. Breast cancer is the most widespread cancer of them all. In the United States alone, there are expected to be about 246,660 new cases of invasive breast cancer that will be diagnosed in women, and an estimated amount of women that will die of cancer in 2016 will be around 40,450 deaths. I have experiences with cancer in my life. My P.E. coach, Mrs Malta was diagnosed with cancer last year and she made a full recovery from it. I don't know exactly what kind of cancer she had but it doesn't matter, what matters is that she made it through alive. My grandfather died form pancreatic, spleen and liver cancer, my aunt Jen was diagnosed with cancer a couple years ago, and my grandmother is a breast cancer survivor.
So please you guys, whenever someone you know or don't know has been diagnosed with cancer, please give them all the love, support, and care they deserve. because it's not easy for them or easy for their families. And also, I encourage you guys to try to raise money and donate money for charities to help find a cure for cancer.
This is for you, my man Joel Green. You had an amazing life and it was a gift from God, your parents love you dearly and people miss you very much.
And I want to dedicate this song to Joel. I know you've see this song alot on my sadder blogs but its a song that goes for almost all sad situations.
Alright everyone, I hope you enjoyed this, very long blog. I hope you guys have an amazing day. Give your family big hugs, kisses, and love because they love you very much. Also give your friends love as well because they care for you almost as much as your parents do. And don't forget t share this blog and if you want to, say some words down in the comments. See you guys later, peace.
