When they aired the newest episode, I tried not to like the dragon princess. She's just shipping material for Spike, I told myself. But darned if I didn't like her anyway (best episode this season, in my opinion, and it set quite the bar, too). So It gave me enough inspiration for a short story. Though, I decided instead of chugging through it all at once (and spending a good several days if not weeks churning out the 8000-12000 words this story will take) I decided to post just the first part. If it turns out well, I'll follow up with two or three more chapters. Otherwise I'll just shelf it and go back to work on my other things.
Speaking of other things, I'm working on, still haven't gotten that update to HeartBeat ready yet. It's getting close, but I'm rather uninspired with the part I'm on. It's uninteresting and, quite frankly, writing from Vinyl's POV is a bit tough for me. I am also putting some attention into that other story. The good news is that I only have two or three more weeks before my summer vacation. I hope to finish HeartBeat over the summer and get enough written to start publishing on that other story.
Where was I? Oh, yes. New story. Enjoy... or not. Though I hope you do.
