I'm done with writing. It's not because I'm sick of writing or anything. It's not even that I'm burned out. It's because one of my favorite authors, LightningSword, stopped writing as said in a blog post that I'll link to below. Just in case, DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY HATE. He doesn't deserve it. If he starts writing again, then I do, too.

Since a couple of people were confused by this (which makes sense) here's a more in-depth explanation.
LightningSword is one of my favorite authors, both as a fanfic writer and in general. I'm saying he's up there with Stephen King and J.K. Rowling. My decision of quitting, hopefully only for a short time, is because LightningSword's a major influence on me and is part of the reason why I started writing MLP fanfics. Since he stopped writing, it's almost as if I have no reason to keep doing what I like to do. That's not quite what I mean, but it's probably the best I could word it.
You could see this decision as an act of protest.
dumb question 1a, why if he is having issues would you want to quit? You have your own followers and are your own person. Don't get it just an old dragon here.

I don't understand it either. I've seen quite a few writers quit with or without blog post explaining why and I've never seen a case where it caused another to quit as well. It makes no sense to stop writing for yourself when you have supporters of your own. I guess I just don't follow the thinking of the younger generation enough to understand it.
